Account Manager

The Account Manager will build strong professional relationships with customers and ensure outstanding quality of service is provided and to develop new business opportunities.

Main Duties

  • Builds a firm relationship with a high-profile clients based on trust, integrity and professionalism.
  • Provides the day-to-day back-end customer service support to ensure the effective execution of customer objectives.
  • Be viewed by the customer as an expert on product and solution offerings.
  • Escalates any concerns to the Account Director and/or VP of Operations for immediate attention.
  • Develops proposals and business cases for service contract opportunities including completing financial analysis, cost/benefit assessment and pricing methodologies to make recommendations to the customer.
  • Manages the “Sales Process” including market attack plans, CRM opportunity management process, and account planning. Manage contract negotiation and renewal process working in conjunction with internal support.
  • Works collaboratively with internal support teams to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • References orders in ordering system when required as per the department referencing process.
  • Prioritizes special or rush orders according to customer requests and requirements.
  • Works with the Project Managers to ensure the prompt processing of rush orders.
  • Qualifies and processes aftermarket care and warranty service requests.
  • Supplies customers with quotations in collaboration with the Account Director and Project Management team.
  • Ensures customer has an adequate supply of product to service their needs.
  • Attends weekly meetings or as needed to provide status updates on customer orders and service requests to ensure all orders/requests are complete or on-track to be completed efficiently.
  • Supports the Account Director with administrative tasks and follows up with customers as needed.
  • Makes recommendations for continuous improvement based on customer feedback and trends.
  • Keeps abreast on relevant strategic technologies, trends and materials.
  • Engages in other duties as required.


  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business or similar discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in a project management, sales or customer service role.
  • Highly customer-focused and action oriented.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team oriented contributor with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
